3 Day Nature & Adventure Experience in Thailand

Embark on an unforgettable two-day adventure through Khao Sok's stunning landscapes, where you'll explore the Sok River, hike through pristine rainforests, and experience the magic of Cheow Lan Lake. Choose from canoeing, tubing, or rafting, followed by a bamboo cooking workshop and a night safari. On day two, hike to To Tor Tao village, enjoy a traditional Thai lunch, and relax on a floating bungalow at Cheow Lan Lake. End your journey with a wildlife boat safari and a peaceful canoe ride, leaving with lasting memories of nature's beauty.

Day 1: This morning pick one of the following mini adventures:

> Canoe Trip: Glide along the Sok River, guided by locals who share their knowledge of this biodiverse paradise. Spot vibrant birds, cheeky monkeys, and hidden snakes as you float past jungle-clad cliffs.
> Tubing: Drift along the river’s currents during the rainy season, soaking up the stunning scenery and spotting wildlife from the water.
> Raft Trek & Cave: Hike to the serene Tham Kheow cave for a meditative escape before rafting downriver and enjoying a traditional Thai lunch

In the afternoon, learn the ancient art of bamboo cooking in the jungle. Craft sustainable utensils, then dine on local delicacies like green curry and bamboo pancakes. As evening falls, experience the jungle’s magic on a guided night safari. Under the stars, discover the nocturnal creatures that thrive in this ancient ecosystem.

Day 2: Today you’ll depart for To Tor Tao, a tranquil community en route to Cheow Lan Lake. A local guide will lead you on a scenic hike through pristine rainforest and hidden caves, ending at a community centre where villagers serve a freshly prepared 3-course lunch.

Afterward, board a longtail boat at Cheow Lan Lake pier, bypassing crowds to explore its emerald waters. Cruise past limestone cliffs and dive into crystal-clear waters before arriving at your floating bungalow. Spend the afternoon relaxing on your private balcony or swimming in the tranquil lake.

As dusk falls, join a boat safari to spot wildlife like hornbills, deer, or even wild ox. End your day with a delicious meal of lake fish and local dishes, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest before drifting off to sleep in a superior floating bungalow with a private bathroom.

Day 3: Today you'll rise early to witness the dawn mist over the lake and hear the calls of gibbons echoing through the jungle. Cruise along the lake’s shores to spot elusive wildlife such as langurs, macaques, or even wild elephants. After breakfast, take a final swim before returning to the pier and continuing your adventure to the beach.

Your Local Impact

Your journey to Khao Sok National Park is designed to support the local community and help preserve Thailand's natural beauty. At Tor Tao, the village receives THB 50 for each visitor, which funds essential community projects like waste management and installing electricity lamps. A local villager is also hired as a guide, providing extra income and strengthening the community’s role in the experience. The lunch after your hike is prepared by villagers, offering a low-carbon dining experience while supporting the local economy. By taking part, you also support eco-tourism that funds conservation efforts and reduces the impact of overtourism in the park.
