1/2 Day Foodie Experience in Thailand
This morning (or evening), your Chiang Mai cooking experience will begin! Get ready to release your inner chef as you try your hand at preparing delicious Thai food in a peaceful countryside setting outside Chiang Mai city.
In a classroom modelled on classic northern Thai teakwood architecture, you will discover some of the secrets of the professionals and rustle up four dishes at the spacious cooking stations. Unlike other cooking classes, the menu changes each day, so you might be making Royal cuisine fit for a king, chef’s choices, all-time favourites or Lanna specialities. However, it’s guaranteed all of them will be delicious!
The school is situated in an acre of tropical gardens and has its own organic farm onsite where you will pick herbs and vegetables to use in your lesson. It’s run by the new generation of a Thai family, an open-minded bunch who aim to combine the high international standards of service they’ve encountered on their own travels with the traditional hospitality of their home.
The class includes a tour of the local market where you can try local foods and the instructor will show you how to choose your ingredients; welcome drinks, soft drinks and cold towel to keep you feeling fresh in the heat of the kitchen; and recipe cards and a certificate when you’ve finished. Best of all, you’ll have the chance to enjoy your handiwork served to you in the beautiful garden before returning to your hotel.
