1/2 Day Cultural Experience in Thailand

Discover Bangkok’s historic charm on a morning tour by eco-friendly tuk-tuk. Visit iconic landmarks, witness monk chants at Wat Pho, and receive a private blessing at Wat Suthat. Enjoy Thai desserts in a vintage home and take in stunning rooftop views at Riva Arun Hotel. Perfect for exploring the city’s rich culture and traditions.

At 08:00 you’ll meet your private guide and hop into an eco-friendly electric tuk-tuk to begin your exploration of the city’s historic heart and rich cultural heritage. Glide along Ratchadamnoen Avenue, sometimes compared to Paris’s Champs-Elysées, and take in landmarks like the Democracy Monument, Royal Ground and the Grand Palace. Arrive at the charming boutique Riva Arun Hotel, where a rooftop stop offers panoramic views of the city’s iconic temples and the Chao Phraya River.

From here, take a short walk to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest and most revered temples - arriving in the early morning, you’ll witness the resident monks absorbed in their tranquil morning chants. Then take in the treasures of the temple grounds, including the famous Reclining Buddha, a magnificent 45m-long statue. Marvel at the intricate details of the Buddha’s footprint and observe locals making offerings - an invitation to partake in Thai culture.

Continue your journey by electric tuk-tuk to Wat Suthat, a lesser-visited gem that offers a tranquil escape from the city’s bustling streets. Here, receive a private blessing from a monk, an intimate and spiritual experience steeped in Buddhist tradition. Just outside the temple, strike a pose on the iconic Giant Swing, a popular photo spot with its dramatic red frame standing against the sky.

A short stroll takes you to the Gingerbread House, or “Baan Kanom Pang Khing,” a century-old vintage home showcasing beautiful traditional Thai architecture. Known for its elegant ambiance, the house serves up a delightful selection of classic Thai desserts presented in luxurious sets. Pair your sweets with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and relax in the timeless charm of this historic venue. Your morning concludes with a tuk-tuk ride back to your hotel, enriched by the sights, sounds and flavours of Bangkok’s old town. What's more, you'll have contributed to the 2776 tonnes of carbon dioxide saved by the tuk tuk company every year!

Note: This tour is best experienced in the morning to witness the monk chants at Wat Pho. Afternoon tours are available but will omit the chanting.
