1 Day Adventure Experience in Vietnam
Discover the beauty of Hoi An’s countryside on this five-hour cycling and kayaking adventure, combining scenic landscapes, cultural encounters, and eco-friendly exploration. Pedal through lush rice paddies, traditional villages and local markets, before swapping your bike for a kayak to navigate the peaceful waterways of the Cam Thanh coco palm forest. This immersive experience offers a unique perspective on rural life while supporting local communities and promoting sustainable travel.
Set off at 08:00 on a 10km cycle ride through the quiet backroads of Hoi An, passing gardens, rice fields, and local markets where daily life unfolds. Along the way, visit a family-run workshop that has preserved the art of sedge mattress weaving for over a century. Watch as skilled artisans use a traditional loom to create these intricate sleeping mats, a craft that is becoming increasingly rare in the modern world.
After an hour and a half of cycling, switch gears and hop into a kayak for a 4km paddle through the Cam Thanh coco palm forest. This mangrove ecosystem is not only a stunning natural landscape but also plays a crucial role in carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, and coastal protection. As you glide through the calm waters, take in the peaceful surroundings and learn about the importance of this environment from your guide.
Round up the morning with a home-cooked Vietnamese meal, hosted by a local family. Enjoy authentic flavours while relaxing in a tranquil setting, knowing that your visit directly supports community-based tourism. After lunch, return to your hotel, having experienced a side of Hoi An that few visitors see.
